TSD teamed up with South Downs College and Sports England to offer students studying at the college a bespoke Personal Safety Programme.
This course is a fun and chilled out look at self defence. The programme has been designed for anyone who travels, works or exercises alone who wants to learn more about how to stay safe and how to defend themself if ever confronted. This course is ideal for everyone from door supervisors to hair dressers, dancers to construction workers.
The course will include:
The legislation around Reasonable Force
Physical Personal Safety Tactics
You don't have to be an athlete to get involved and we won't be looking for you to be Ninja's to pass either. We will give you lots of techniques so you can choose the ones that work for you. All the techniques can be used by anyone from 7-70 years old. Everyone is welcome!
Anyone interested in participating in this free course can get further information from
Kirsty Taylor at South Downs College or by contacting us directly using our
Students studying the BTEC Public Services course will have the chance to study their own personal safety tactics as part of their course. Contact Martyn Bell for more details.
