So, who are we?
What we’ll teach you:
- How to avoid and defuse confrontation. The use of any force should always be the last resort - our aim is to prevent violence.
- The legislation covering self protection and personal safety and how to stay on the right side of the law when defending yourself, you friends and family or even your home.
- over100 specific physical techniques derived from multiple martial arts and control and restraint trainers which are tried and tested to be effective in real situations.
You are all individuals whether 7 or 70, big or small, male or female. We will work with you to give you the tactics you need to stay safe.
TSD include lessons based on case studies. These teach students how to justify themselves after successfully using our techniques. If you injure anyone, even someone who wants to hurt you, the Police have a right and a duty to ask you to justify yourself. This can be a difficult experience for anyone who does not have some understanding of the law but with our training you will be able to confidently explain and defend yourself against false allegations of assault.

Hi, I'm Will. I've been in and around Martial Arts for many years, over 20 now) and have a weird interest in situational awareness and the science and art of violence.
I trained as a Self-Defence Instructor in 2013 and went on to qualify as an Advanced Control and Restraint Instructor a year later.
There's hundreds of techniques which look great on TV and on the big screen, as I say it's an art, but I have selected techniques that I use every day in my work as a Police Officer so that I can teach them with the confidence to know they actually work in reality.
However, our ethos is halp people recognise the signs before they become dangers so as to avoid using physical force.
I work with a small team of people, males and females, who support me to deliver training when necessary.
We have had the pleasure of training groups and individuals from Girl Guides to Fireman and have enjoyed every minute of it.
